Durango Safety and Rescue Equipment, LLC. is the designer and exclusive manufacturer of EvacKart rescue transport carts.

Our founder, Terry Brown, became involved with Search and Rescue operations when he was in high school. Growing up in Northern California, his dad was part of a local “jeeping club.” As the club gained popularity, local SAR crews requested that the club provide backup and support during their missions.

Years later, Terry had moved to Southwest Colorado. An avid hunter, he developed a cart that was sturdy enough to transport game. He soon realized that the cart could be adapted for Search and Rescue operations, and he got to work.

Now, more than eighteen years later, EvacKart has established a reputation as North America’s premier two-wheel rescue device.
